You will need a proper spark plug socket and You need to be gentle aswell! I wasnt gentle and ripped the threads out of the cylinder head

I managed to change my plug without removing anything......did give myself a few scuffed knuckles tho'..........I will have to bite the bullet at some point and get a good look at stuff by removing the seat etc .............. #sprint#

Hi Guys. Well stupid mechanic here who wants to change spark plug on my Boatian BT-QT50 9H. Where is it I've lifted the seat and remove the cover and cansee the carb and something next to it that had a slide off plastic cover thatthen reveals ( see photo ), but I can't remove what I think is the HT lead - tight as hell. Don't want to go mad with it in case that's not the SP (I'm now sure it's not) img136.imageshack.us/img136/5847/splug1vc.jpgAny (kind ) adivse appreciated. Martyn

bought a new car last year and haven't even opened the bonnet - in fact no idea where the release hatch is! I'm afraid as a Software Engineer, anything mechanical is alien to me. One of the reasons I bought the new scoot - hopefully simple enough to tinker with and learn a few bits - actually managed to change rollers and derestrict this weekend without any major probs. Mind you, panicked when the little carb pin flew in the air and i spent the next 10mins hunting for it

I think you'll have plenty of fun with the new scoot, it's easy to work on and you'll learn loads. I would however, download the service manual and have a good read through it.
