Hi Guys,
I have just bought myself a Biotian qt-11 scooter 2005 model and have been zipping round on it all weekend feeling in scooter heaven! My dreams were shattered this morning when I couldn’t start the thing!
I wheeled it down to my local scooter repair garage and he managed to get it started after a while. There I was in scooter heaven again riding home when the bike died on me completely and wouldn’t start again!
My mechanic is now scratching his head as he doesn’t know much about Chinese scooters and I was wondering if any of you guys might be able to help with the problem?
We checked the following this morning:
Oil - plenty Fuel – full tank Battery – fine Spark plug – cleaned and seems fine (only the spark coming from it is very small).
This is not the way I wanted to introduce myself to this forum but I hope someone can help please!
Ive been really chuffed with it so far as this is my first time on two wheels.
Curse my luck!
Cheers.

Welcome aboard! Dont worry about not knowing jack. I had never touched a scooter before I bought one. 1 year later & I am a decent scooter mechanic. Learning about your machine is half the fun!

Hi Guys,
Bad news. I picked up the scooter and it run like a dream Friday then Saturday day time. Then in the middle of Saturday night somebody tried to steal it from the private parking at the back of my flat. They were either scared off or became frustrated because with the lock and dropped it on its side smashing the front faring the headlight and somehow puncturing the back tyre. Also they have damaged the ignition and now it wont even start.
Im so down hearted about this and feel so frustrated after spending money to get it going this week. Im not sure whether to repair it or just to get rid of it all together. Im frightened that if I do fix it up the same thing will happen.
Thanks to peeps for the help last week anyway, I just thought id update you on my unfortunate luck.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck. What you need is a small cctv camera with infra red, you can find them on ebay for about £50 they have a transmitter in them too so you can hook it up to your video recorder. Use a 4 hour tape and put it on LP (long Play) that will give you 8 hours in which to catch the sons of Bitches, if they try it again. They probably tried to hot wire it thats why they caused so much damage. cgi.ebay.co.uk/WIRELESS-2-4G-COLOUR-INFRA-RED-CCTV-SYS-HIGH-SPEC_W0QQitemZ220033854671QQihZ012QQcategoryZ60839QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemThats the sort of thing you need to put your yobbo's in the nick they can't argue with evidence of this kind. You might be able to sue for compensation for damage to personal property too. It might also be good to shop around as I feel you should be able to buy cheaper than the one I used to show you what your looking for. Make a little sign up saying, "Smile your on CCTV with a smiley." It might make them think twice before being caught on camera. It worked for me after they nicked my radio from my car. They steer clear of it now.
