I don't want to be cheaky but surely a 50cc is a bit on the small side considering both your heights and weight. I'm 5' 8" and 11 stone and I'm riding a 125cc which even looks a bit on the small side for me.

Agree with you Simar, I'm 5' 9" and around 15 st and sometimes feel my 125 is a bit small. However................. Over here it's common to see someone well over 20 stone on a 50cc, and that's just the Senoras

Be as cheeky as you like, im quite thick skined ;D Wasnt even considering the 50cc's and was looking at the (physically) larger 125's such as the Baotian 125T-7. The local sandwich shop has got one to do its deliverys with, and it looks a resonable size. My main concern is going to be with the lack of power, coming from a 984cc bike and never having ridden a scooter before

You will find a great deal of difference from riding a 984cc bike compare to a smaller snail hehehe my scoot carries me at a good clip and Im 5:10 inches and 11.5 stone. I can weave in and out of cars and more often than not leave em standing at traffic lights. Even so with a 30 mph speed limit the only thing i might gain from having a larger capacity motor is a bit more acceleration. You can only drive as fast as the traffic flow anyway.
