Hello from an almost complete novice. I had a Zundapp scooter in 1960 but that went away 40 odd years ago when I bought my 1st car.... I recently picked up a little scooter in very poor condition with the name Kazuma on the front and with a 2003 registration plate. NO documentation or anything. I fitted a replacement HT coil inside the magneto and can now start it. The engine runs reasonably when it feels like it but the transmission is poor. There had been a cracked plastic pipe at the rear by the axle, which I've temporarily repaired with a sleeve and superglue. There is an oil filler cap next to two little pipes. What goes in it and how much? Does one fill it right up? Is the red light related to the oil level? I tried a little chain saw oil as an experiment but maybe that's too thin. The red light stays on on the dash. There's an oil filler under the seat. What goes in there and how much? I assume it's a 4-stroke but maybe not? I think it may be a 50cc "Pup". It looks like a "Baotian" and has a name like Qinqgi on the rear casting. Has anyone any advice. If I can get it working I'll restore it, get the documentastion, insure it and use it.... All tips gratefully received...

Thanks for the info jialing. I've tried searching for things for weeks with Altavista and not had any luck. I tried "kazuma" but never "qinqgi". I'm almost certain, having looked at the parts listings in the links you provided, that my Kazuma is a two stroke with a separate oil tank mounted under the seat, and an automatic, using a gear oil in the rear drive casing. The leaking pipe I fixed seems to be the feed from the 2 stroke oil tank to the engine. It cost me £33 for a new magneto stator, which didn't fit but I was able to use the HT coil that came with it to repair mine. Presumably someone had poked a stick through the holes in the rotor when trying to remove it and reduced the original to a mass of broken wires. cheers noggins
