;D I dunno, about you guys but thought it might be a good idea for some of the members who feel rather social to have a monthly meet in various places, i.e. pubs to get to gether and get to know one another.
So thought I would throw this into the frying pan and see what comes out of it.
Best time for a meet would be a Saturday and somewhere that has some form of entertainment too, like music and dancing.
It would also be a good thing for those with new bikes to get to know more about their machines.
Just a thought, so if you like the idea add some comments lets see what the members think of the idea. regards alan

not really when you think about dividing areas up north, east, south and west, it could work and nothing wrong in booking into hotel motel for the night either if some are prepared to travel. alan

What are scooters for anyway? travelling to a meet should be great fun and a challenge too. A test of man and machine... but the real pleasure would be in meeting others on here too.

Have to get my dodgy rear shocker fixed first, which could be months.

Talking about long rides on scooters, whats the longest you have ever traveled in one day? The most I have covered so far in one day is about 73 miles but I am planning on trying to beat that. and I am sure there are others on here that have done better than that?. alan

To be honest I don't quite trust this scoot yet to venture to far, had a problem with the front brake sticking, removed the pads and spring reassembled and all seems to be ok for now. No wonder it was struggling up hills.

Hey thats brilliant andy congrats on that one, when i get my scoot back on the road, I might just try to beat that by taking a long trip down the coast. In fact I reckon it might be a good idea to have a small meet at Brighton which is about 60 mile from london 120 there and back for me and it would be a chance for a few of us to get together. alan
