heh! just bought a brand new kinroad xt125-10 off ebay for £450!
i know nothing about this model....can find very little info on the web, but it looks like (virtually identical) a jinlun JL125 t-13 and the baotian BT125T-2. is this the same scooter?are these models any good? any probs or mods i need to look at? this is my first scooter, my last bike was a 600 cc suzuki bandit about 5 years ago.i am not expecting comparable performance! just want economy and reliability. thanks everyone!

Welcome aboard! It is the same. They sell the same scooter under a dozen or more names. Same scoot, just different cosmeticly. As for problems: Minor headaches are part & parcel with these little scoots. Some of the electrical connectors & bolts & screws will vibrate loose. But that is easily fixed. I just give the problem ones a little dose of Loctite. The battery, spark pulg & oil that come from the factory are not worth much. Change them as soon as possible. Beyond that, just have fun getting to know your machine. I did not know thing one about scooters when I bought mine, but now after a year of riding, I am a decent scooter mechanic. Enjoy Chris

hi chris, thanks for replying! i am looking forward to getting it on the road ( should be a week or so) and this should tell me a bit more. this forum is a real help in the meantime though. i have read through the sparse manual that came with it, and although unintentionally hilarious, it has little in the way of usefull info. i can cross refrence other models now and try and gain some knowledge! thanks again!

Disco I just got a Kinroad firefly XT126T-6 a week ago. Did yours come with an alarm/remote start fitted? just asking as my one is wired for it, I'm thinking the buggers at the workshop have nicked it. It was supposed to come crated but they made a mistake and built it up.

no, nothing modern like that!!! its just a basic scoot. it may be that its a standard wiring loom, used for all manner of scooters, with lots of unused connectors. or you could have been robbed! ring up your supplier and grill em!!
