Hi folks. I've followed links to here, from "preloved" site on Baotian peds. There must be masses of none working scooters out there brought about by people who don't know the difference between a pin, a screw, and a plunger...trying to de-restrict their ped's. De-restriction info here is first rate, and even semi capable should be able to follow it. If in doubt....DON'T is all I can say! I'm aged 65 but have masses of experience, and can figure out most things for myself. The Bao BT50QT-9 is very "chinese" and needs to be looked at carefully. Has anyone noticed that the carburretor is very like the old S.U. carb on cars, in the way it works? Ah well. Nothing new under the sun. Mind you, the need to put the side stand up, and pull in the left brake lever to start the ped was a puzzle! Still 65 don't mean dead and done for! Race anyone?

ceebee in Solihull. W.Mids.
Until yesteday, I had two BT50QT-9's (Long story) Yesterday, one of them got a flat rear tyre which then came off the rim because the ped was moved before it was noticed. What a pain to remove the wheel and get it to an airline! Today....the same bloody thing happened to the other one!!!!!!!!! I've had them two years, and no trouble. What's the odds?
One of the peds went to my next door neighbour yesterday. Only one to get up my nose now. (Although after he got it, I heard him whanging away on the starter for ages trying to show friends how it worked. Dashed round and found him with the side stand down, even though I told him and told him about it. Some people shouldn''t be allowed to have mechanical devices!) Mind you! I can't tell my wife that if the vacuum cleaner bag is full, then there is not enough air going through it to keep the motor cool. I reckon we get through a vacuum cleaner every 12 months. Oh me oh my!!!!
