Hey all.
I'm Juliet and in the South of Englaand.
Been a fan of vespa scooters since school but never had the chance (ability?!) to ride one.
Decided to kick off with something I can ride on my car licence and someone I knew said to buy a chinese retro scoot as my first bike cos they are cheap enough that if I trash the bloody thing it won't matter so much (he knows me too well).
Asked a few people about buying on ebay and got directed here to ask some questions first and I hope that will be ok.
Have to admit to being totally clueless so bear with me. First question is that I want a cheap new 50 that looks like a little vespa what should I be looking for?
Ta in advance!

Baotian is pronounced Bay ocean. The qt-11 is actually that pink. I bought a qt-9 from Baotian in Canterbury and the qt-11 is an extreme pink. Good luck getting your scoot.

Hi There Juliet, I got the same retro scoot for the same reason - it'll be a while before I can afford a fully restored Vintage Lambretta! Bought mine off e-bay for around £500 from www.Coastlineleisure.com (but more expensive from their showroom and web-site) The bloke there, Jonathan, has been an absolute Diamond helping me get my documents sorted and in order, even though I'm not in the UK now. I believe he goes to China himself and as he buys in volume from the factory, has arranged to have a few different colour options that you don't find elsewhere. Many of the QT-11's you see look they've crashed through an explosion in a sweet shop - bit to garish for me! I went for the pale blue option he has which he informs me is the exact colour match of the 1962 Vespa Blue, and you can't say fairer than that! Here in Spain there are kids, OAP's, Bank Managers, Coppers - all on Scoots But I've found that the QT-11 really seems to turn some heads - either that or I'm driving like a knob! Coastline are based in Lancaster which is a fair way from the south coast but they do deliver (and beef and chicken) and their aftersales is exceptional so far and they can get parts for you too. So there you go.......Consider yourself told! Welcome to the forum, BTW. You won't need to go anywhere else!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I know so much more than I did this morning now. I'm quite excited actually! ;D
