>:(I have a daily commute of 10 miles each way, I can't decide which bike to go for. I have considered a Baotian BT110-2 [Cub 90 style], or a 125 cc scooter, or even a 50. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

hi Craig, I chose a 50 so I didn't need L plates, and can carry a passenger, this is due to passing my driving test before 1997......how old are you? did you pass your driving test before 97?

For my money I would get the 50. I doesn't take that long to go 10 miles. I ride 12 miles every Saturday to my second job, & it takes me 25-30 minutes via a roundabout route over secondary roads. (I take this route to avoid riding on a busy 55MPH 4 lane road. (US highway 27) My Monday through Friday 3 mile commute only takes me about 5-8 minutes(depending on how many lights I have to stop for). a 125 would get you there a little faster but not worth the expense in my book. Of course that is my book, your may be different

Hey , I own a 50cc and ride 35miles each way to work on route 20 its a single lane road with the average speed limit of 30 -45 and I have no trouble keeping up with traffic. What you should buy depends on the speed limits of the roads you are travelling and of course how much you want to spend . Here in the states all you need to ride a 50cc is an automoble licence anything above a 50cc you are required to have a motorcycle licence and insurance . dmilo

i used to do a 27 mile round trip to college every day on my 50cc i kinda miss it now even on my 125. go for a 125 coz then you can over take stuff thats in your way such as old people and 50cc death trap mopeds. no offence guys.
