I have been riding and servicing my own bikes (and cars) and now my kids bikes for more years than I care to state! I have just bought a BT50QT-11 Lambreta style 4 stroke scooter for my 16 year old daughter to ride. I do not know much about faster weights or rollers but I know just de-restricting the engine without then improving the gear ratio will just make the bike accelerate faster, and the limit on top speed will be maximum revs the engine will take. Improve the gearing and due to the variable speed drive acceleration will be nearly as good but not only will another genuine 5 to 10 Mph be available but your engine will not self destruct in 6 months! (make that 3 months for a 2 stroke!) Over the next few weeks I'll investigate these items and let you all know. I have also photographed and made a CDROM on assembling the bike. I made all sorts of mistakes that are more or less inevitable if you have not assembled one before. It fills me with disgust that the sellers on eBay claim their scooters are "fully assembled and only need handle bars putting on" OK if you can wheelie every where, what about the front wheel Putting that on took Piggin hours to get it right. Anyway I'll get off my soap box and say HI to all happy

My daughter yes I can hope she can get to £599+ as I cannot afford the insurance on top of everything else. Some bikes (fully built and pdi'd are going regularly for £695 / 700 ish) So I did the maths and suggested she get eBaying.

I started a topic about your listing in another section as I found the wording quite strange. If you don't mind me saying I think if you're expecting £599 you might be disapointed as loads of Baotians are going for around a hundred pounds cheaper.
