Hey well am new here bought myself a little Baotian BT50QT-9 2005 v of ebay. I haven't actually went for my CBT yet as am waiting for my provisional and i need to register my bike. Does anyone have a clue how much number plates are for theses tiny scooters. And just a quick question did u guys know how to drive one before you went for your CBT? I have also just started the engine up and tried the horn and its not working any ideas?

Welcome aboard!! Number plates are around £7. I'd never ridden a scooter before buying my Taishan and I didn't have to take a CBT so everything I know I've learnt from here.

Yep me too, the tips are great esp touching the back brake going round bends. I didnt take a CBT and the first journey to work was soooooooo scary, i'm all derestricted now and today 40mph was terrifying, its amazing how safe i felt going back to 30. The first go i had of my scooter, i fell off, turned the accelerator whilst trying to get it in the stand and ended up running along side it panicing like hell, couldnt find the brakes and ended up underneath it half on the road half on the pavement, i was mortified and sulked " I cant do it! i'm sending it back." 3 weeks later, (now) i'm confident, i've found the brakes, i've learnt to turn it off before i attempt to put it on any stand and I love it! You'll be fine, you cant be any worse than me, good luck.

Well i just got an email after i threatend to rat them out to ebay saying they will refund me later tonight... And i found some even better decals for only £1 Although i didn't actually understand that she was only selling one i ordered 3 and because of my good nature and "my balls of asking for 2 extra" she is giving me all 3 for the price of one ..i wish that all ebay sellers would be as good as her got my CBT on sunday so i defitantly will be driving on sunday (maybe being a little too over confident) i am so looking foward to it i have been driving up and down my little path which is maybe 7in long lol.

Will do, i am going in person to the dvla to registar my bike tomorrow, i carnt use my own scooter for the CBT anyway because the place that does them here only let you do them on there bikes, i know its going to be tiring 9am start! i have had the last few weeks of and have got into a routine of going to bed late waking up late so ill have to be all alert, i probley will be from excitement yet. As of yet the refund still has not been recieved ill give them another day before i send them another threating email.

Good luck for the cbt - mine was embarassing - the only girl there and the oldest by far and everyone else had at least riden a bike before - whereas i crashed into the kerb at the side of the car park the first time i got on one during my CBT
