Make it 50! It takes ALOT to pull the petrol through, thats half of the complaints of new bike owners.

Take off air pipe going to the fuel valve(other end) suck on the pipe, which will open valve, petrol should then drain from tank into fuel filter & carb

sorry for the crude non technical wording of my post but have you checked that the little raised square (which i dont know the corecct name of) on the flywheel is not rusty where it meets the pickup coil
also check if the contacts are not rusted on the inside of the flywheel/Stator Coil Rotor, strator coil
and also you could check the cdi coil and ht lead

yes i checked the bump as you refered to it.It is as clean as a whistle.im starting to lean towards the cdi but it either works or dosent right ?. the scoot ran fine before the new carb refit.Although it wasn"t going pass 25 mph. That was the reason for the new carb> i even tried the old carb and still cant get it started. i know there is gas getting in there also have tried starting fluid no go . So i guess ill go out and get a new cdi and see if that works. If that dosent i guess it has to go to the shop LOL I work on v8 racing cars. And cant get a single piston engine to run I will also check out the rest of the things that you mentioned THX Bill figures

sounds like its fuel related if it worked before i dont see how the cdi or anything else would stop working after a carb change it would be very unluckly
did you change the plug after it stopped working or before ?

Does it smell of petrol when you try to start it? It could be flooding. Try crimping/disconnecting the fuel pipe temporarily while you start it, and wind the throttle wide open, to get some air in there.
