Might take a while, before the carb fills up with fuel. If the carb does not want to drink, try checking the fuel valve - it's pressure operated. Take the pipe off and try to suck the valve open, while starting..that's about only thing I can think of right now

I had a similar problem earlier this year after cleaning my carb. Take off the vacuum line at the cumbustion chamber. (it is the other hose that comes off that valve) If you look at the engine as if you were sitting on the seat, it will be on the right side right next to the intake manifold. Take that line off & suck on it. Every time you suck, some gas will go down to the carb. (I have an inline fuel filter so I was able to see the gas in the filter) do that 10 or so times & you shoud get enough gas down there. Once you get the engine running it will take care of the rest. Good luck Chris

It is quite amazing how much I have learned in the last 6 months! Just 6-8 months ago I was asking the same kind of questions. I found the vacuum line solution quite by chance.
