Does anyone here know how to (or can provide me with the link) derestrict the ADLY SilverFox SF-50 scooter...
I've bought that one some 3 1/2 months ago, and I've allready made more than 1000km on it. I must admit that I'm extremely satisfied with it. But I'd like to whip some more acceleration out of it (top speed doesn't bother me so much, but the accel - with my 92+ kg's - is something to desire...).
Thanks in advance...

you'd have to find out what size and weight your current variator roller weights are.......
then see what lighter ones are available

That's a good idea, except that I don't know which ones come as standard issue, I haven't got the service manual or any other documentation. I tried googlin' but came up blank... Does anyone here know where to dl or obtain the service manual (or at least, detailed info about the scoot)? I found several online shops that sell ADLY SilverFox parts, but they have several types of rollers (and several dimensions, for that matter), and it's hard to choose the right types: www.scooter-dele.dk/piz.asp?id=2873www.scooter-attack.com/index2.php?lang=eand several more... Can you pls help a guy...?

Hi again... My scoot is still bothering me, I just can't sit and do nothing while I know it can give me more... so I went to work. I managed to open the transmission cover, and with the help of the impact hammer removed the variomat. Inside I found what it looks like 15x12 rollers (can't be 100% sure since my micrometer is a piece of junk), and they seem to be in normal working order, no deformations and scratches... Next, at the center of variomat shaft I found the metal cylinder, some 37-38mm long, but attached to it was a metal ring similar to the one in the Baotian derestriction guide, only it seemed to be connected with the cylinder (my guess, I need your opinion). Together, they look like a letter T when viewed from side. Now, I didn't want to go ahead and remove something I don't know what it is, but decided to put everything together (thankfully, everything works as before) and consult you guys... After I put it together, I did a test run, and this time I measured my accel...: it took me (92kg) from stand to 45km/h some 15 seconds, and it went to max of 55km/h, but it took him awhile... After that I remembered I should take some pictures, but it was too late. Oh, another thing: I did some exploring on the scoot, and did in fact found where the spark plug is, but for the love of god don't know how to remove/replace it without removing entire bodywork. Found the CDI also (or at least, it has CDI stamped on it)... guess what: only two wires go into it, black and white. I'm not touching that anytime soon... After the spark plug I lost the will to search for the way to acces the carb... The scoot is two-stroke and the producer's webpage is here: www.hercheemoto.com/scooter/index.htmAny suggestions? What rollers or anything? Only catch is that I live in Croatia...

The metal cylinder with a ring on the end, that you describe as a 'T' shape, that is the restriction on your scooter, you need yo either have the ring machined off or replace the cylinder with a straight one.
Measure the outside diameter and length on the the cylinder and get back to me, I may know a place that sells a straight (unrestricted) one.
