Any short cuts on installing a new belt drive on a Taishan Sport 50?
Looks like you have to remove the clutch and/or the variator?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Gaz,
If you're after rollers, get them from Beespeed, you'll have them in a couple of days, their sevice is excellent plus of course they are UK based. Scooter Assassins take weeks.

The hard part is getting the rear pulley to open up to get the belt in. Is what I do is with the left hand try to pull it open while simoteounslly using a large flathead screwdriver on the right. Once it is open you can release the screwdriver and insert the belt giving more than enough slack to go over the pulley sleeve. Very difficult the first couple of times, then you realize how it works.
