has anybody heard of a chunlan starway? my mate has a 125 wich he dropped after wich he says it only goes 30mph could any one give me any clues to why this has happend and what we can do to rectify the prob theres a drink in it for any body that helps me

I think that it's the one that you buy directly from Argos.
Speed problem will almost certainly be the emmision control valve on the exhaust. The reed fails and the exhaust gas gets pumped back along the rubber hose into the air filter.
Quickest test is to block the rubber pipe between exhaust and airbox with a bolt. Bike should idle fine and accellerate to over 30 mph perhaps as fast as 50 or 60 mph!

could affect the control valve cos thats above the exhaust if he smacked the exhaust it couldve f**ked it up

plugged mine when I fitted freeflow and jet.........
all done at the same time, might make a difference on its own.........

Yeah I like it! The main reason I was asking is because I am .... (I may get stick for this it's very geeky) ....a Flight Sim addict ...!! I have the full-kit, a Yoke, throttle, Rudder Pedals, Infra Red Head Tracking device, 3 screens, etc ...... yeah I know it sounds sad but Aviation is my No.1 passion so I get a buzz out of flying realistic airliner simulations - even if it is just up in my attic rather than in a real flight deck !!
