Cheers all and i guess all u do is put one of the 0.05 blade into th valve clearence and tighten it up. thanks again all

If you tighten up on the feeler gauge, it could squash the metal, and give you the wrong setting, (0.05 is very flimsy, not much thicker than tin foil).

on the first turn of flywheel there is les resistance.When on the second turn for tdc there is more resistance and that is where it should be set ..that is what i found today..set valves the other day and bit of tapping but set them again today and now as sweet as a nut..jay ;D

Do you just turn the flywheel by hand or do you need to use the kick start?

I would turn it by hand, first of all you can get the timing mark spot on, and second it makes things easier to see what you are doing.
