Hello Chaps..i been gone for a minute but i been in that pocket bike era lately lol but now im back..got some questions for ya'll. My 05 metro 4 from redstreak died in jan. and so far i still have the engine...it has no carb cause the old carb's auto choke was cut off and of course i think that is the reason why the bike wouldnt start and run right. ..what i wanna do is put this engine on this body from a 50cc 2stroke.
so far the engine has sat up awhile so i dont know if it was still turn over but i need some pointers on this..after i get the carb what should i do next?

Naw...that would be pointless...i already have a good body with no electronics..good condition with back lights and all...and its not that hard to just put this 4stroke engine from my metro onto this this bike..i'll have pic of it soon once things start kicking off

This is the new body..the 2stroker on it died a month ago plus since its lightweight it should get bout 45+ with the 80cc kit that was put on the engine.

The wheels are 13'' i suppose but since the metro had bigger brakes..the tires are more bigger cause the 2 strokes wheels are real small and not much clearance from the ground. so far i put the brakin system from the other bike..but tryin to figure out the safety switch that when you engage the brake it turns on the starter..(it doesnt have a kickstart).

:)so far here is a update..i got the 4 stroke 50cc off the metro and got it on the other body that had the 2stroke engine on it..now i gotta wait on the carb. to get here and then align all the wires and figure out what goes where..i'll keep ya'll posted.

So far from what i see...its interesting how the 2 strokes dont have many wires compared to the 4 stroke but i guess its because they produce more power to make the lights work which is a plus. Now i gotta wait on the carb and im good to go..so far it turns over just need teh carb to give it some gas and there we go..wish me luck

Was it that ridiculous Honda exhaust that messed up your engine? It probably scorched the piston!
Sorry to hear about your carb problems. I have a good one that I can sell you for $20 if you're willing to wait 2.5 weeks for me to get it.

well hopefully that didnt happen chuck cause before this problem occured the engine still run its just when you give it gas it was flooding out the old carb and would just shut off which i assume is normal when a engine is flooded with gas...i got a carb on the way for 60 brand new. Naw the exhuaust didnt kill it..it was me prob de rest. that thing too early and plus the choke was shot on that old carb.

Oh wait chuck..are you referring to the 2stroke engine that had the same pipe on it...if so yea your right it was that cause i was riding it down the road at 40 which was weird and all the sudden..POP! and it stuck where it sat. I opened it up and yea the piston was shot....geezzz well i know better now.

Now im tryin to figure out how to get the exhaust pipe thru...theres not much clearance which sucks..i might have to demmel some metal off if i can and see what i can do but i dont want to sacrifice the kick stand..:-(...i'll have a pic of my prob later today or tommorow

well chaps here is a picture of the carb that i got off ebay for $40 brand new with choke. In the other pic..if you look closely there is a small pipe stickin out. from last note i noticed the other day that i thought i didnt have any clearance to put a pipe cause the frame was make for a 2 stroke engine.I managed to get it through by taking the engine off and attaching the header piper in there...i had but so much clearance to tighten the bolts to keep it in there...eventually i'll put a muffler on it cause today i noticed when it was revved up..it spit flames which seemed real cool but its not good i know. it comes to find out that this model is a 70cc which they call a turbo at redstreak so i was wonderin at times how i managed to get 45-50 with that engine but that was when i had that pipe on it to from the red bike before it was wrecked. All i got left is the lights and signals and shes done and hopefully back on the road agian...keep ya posted.

Well today i got the bike back together and it cranks up first time when cold but when hot afterawhile..i have ot give it throttle for a alil bit to keep it running but after that it stay running. it gets 45-50 and i feel its because of the pipe i made and the less weight since the old body was heavy on it. i painted it red and silver it looks like a new scooter just about..i'll have pictures soon..tommorow gonna ride it to work and see how it works out..hopefully it doesnt rain..that would suck major *** lol...keep ya updated.
