I have adjusted the idle screw to an extent where i have the scoot ticking over at quite high revs only for it to eventually die again without touching anything. If i set it up ticking over normal , it will only run briefly before stopping.

I have now set up the Valve clearances and the scoot is just about perfect(Fingers crossed!!) I found that the Valve clearances were non existant - no gap at all. This will presumably be why i was not getting a decent tickover as the valves were never closing fully.

I can now tell you that after 5 days running the Scoot is well impressive. I can definately advise anybody who has not checked their valve clearences and is suffering probs to check them now. It only takes about 20/30 mins and is well worth the hassle.

Does anyone know where i can source an indicator switch from the l/h side as mine has decided to only work while keeping it held in position (not latching!).

Tried stripping down the switch and put self tapping screws in as the threads were shot. This enabled me to tighten the plate down but did not make much difference. Tried with a peice of plastic/rubber under the plate but still no luck. The switch works fine when switching to the left but will not latch in the right oposition unless you hold. Any comments from what has to be the best Forum around - Ta for reading...
