Got my new top box today. It was quite weird figuring out how to attach it to the bike with no instructions but it all fell into place eventually. ;D What do you reckon? It looks a bit big in this first pic... The red bit on the back isn't a reflector but an actual light. I know sod all about wiring so I'm going to go round my mates house next week and see if we can connect it up to the brake light - I reckon having it as a second brake light will look pretty cool. And to top it all off I stuck on my new Batman Begins sticker. ;D

That looks good Phil, now you don't have to worry when you go shopping. ;D You're right, it does look massive in that first photo.

I go on another scooter forum which has loads of teenage guys who are into modifying their scooters and I don't think they're too keen on top boxes. ;D I love it though and it makes the bike look a bit bigger which is good.

Because all the panels are made of plastic there's no need to buy any fancy polish for £5 a tin when Pledge will do the job just as well. Today I used a vanilla fragrance polish which is meant for car interiors, god my bike smells sweet. ;D

My missus said my bike smells of cakes. Don't use too much water when cleaning your bike, water + exposed wiring = nightmare.

People will smell you before they see you. They did that anyway - especially on a hot day.

Just come back from my mates house and we got the back light working by connecting it to the brake light. I didn't realise but it's not a single bulb in the back which goes on & off when you press the brake but there's about 10 LED's and when I now pull the brake they flash in a weird sequence which looks pretty damn cool. ;D

Just made a short video (20 seconds) of the lights on my top box. You've got to watch this, it's like a discotheque every time I brake. ;D www.putfile.com/media.php?n=topboxJust click on the link and wait about 25 seconds.

Wouldn't have thought so as you have a fully working brake light below it ??

Well the listing on ebay say's you're supposed to connect it to the lights so it would be on continuously when it's dark but if I was a driver behind I'd be really put off by it which is why I chose to have it connected to the brake light instead. If anything this will give car drivers more of a visual warning of when I'm braking. I wouldn't have thought they'd be allowed to sell them if they were illegal but when has that ever stopped anyone.
