I just bought a used, '03 Sinski XSJ50QT-2. I'm a bit new to the scooter world, and decided to give it a shot after my work moved a couple miles away - along a very hilly path... but thats for another post, another time It bougt it despite it being a sad sight for sure. Leaking oil (outside), blue exhaust, oil dripping out of the muffler, etc - and only 150 miles on it! Since it was used (and obviously abused) by its previous owners, there were no manuals or other documentation available. I downloaded the parts cataloge (Thanks for posting that!), but the user manual is for a 4-cycle, so i'm still not suer what the recommended care is. I assume by the oil resivoir that this is an oil-injected 2-stroke engine, and i thus assumed the previous owner mixed oil and fuel together in the gas tank. After cleaning what oil buildup i could outside the exhaust (i'm sure i'll have to take it apart and de-grease it to really clean it, and probably get a new muffler), i topped off the 1/2 full tank with clean fuel, which cured the blue exhaust and muffler-oil right up. I'm not sure, however, whether there still needs to be a petroil mix of a lesser concentration than the previous owners, or whether i should fill it with straight fuel. Thats all for now - i'm sure i'll have many more questions, especially as i get more into it Thanks!

Is the majority 4-stroke owners? I opted for the 2-stroke since they tend to be better on acceleration, and i'm in a hilly area and thus need it.
I've been a little disappointed, but since it was in such rough shape when i got it i want to show it some love and possibly some 'upgrades' before i give up on it. Its already running better with the extra oil burned out of it.

Vast majority are 4-stroke owners as all modern Chinese scooters are 4-stroke.
Good luck with your Sinski though! There's nothing like a good project !

Thanks for the link. It looks like they're pretty heavy on the GY6 4-stroke. Did some searching of the forums without much luck either

Well, i'll do my best to figure it out then From what i can tell, the 4-stroke is quite similar to the 2-stroke in many useful ways. If i'm good i'll even document stuff for furture 2-strokers . No promises though .

Thanks for the pointer Just pulled the parts manual, i'm sure I can find some useful stuff in there. I don't suppose you have a users manual for the 2-stroke that you could share? I still havn't managed to find one anywhere. Thanks!

i think that there is one on there isn't there? Have a look at the Sinski 50QT-4 user manual. Should be more or less the same mechanically. Think i also have a carb guide somewhere. Will see if i can dig it out.
