A couple of years ago (4 to be exact) I used to go to MFN - Miles from nowhere!. It's not miles from nowhere, it is about half a mile from where I live Not sure if the Wednesday nights are still going, I have not seen any adverts for the place lately, I think it is still open though, but only in the evenings. Many many years ago, (when it was called the Shipley Boat Inn), we used to go to Sunday afternoon cricket matches there, but not just to watch the cricket, the bar used to be open all hours, and they would serve beer to anyone who had money and could see over the bar, which to a 14 year old was a big attraction.

might have a ride up there next week will have to take my 125 bit far on the 50 just for the night I would give them a ring first to check on 01773 530313 Not much on the following link about the pub, and the link from that website to the pub website just gives more links:- www.ents24.com/web/venue/26675/Eastwood/MFN+Nightclub.htmlYou might need to repair the link if it is split, I cannot get it to display properly.

Glad to see its not had the usual pressure aplied by the 'nimby's; and Plod, but then again, its pretty much out of the way, although you still go through some built-up area's to get to it. I used to race the trains on the road that runs parrellel on my Aprilia V'twin, only problem was you could meet some one coming back on his back wheel. There are few things I miss up here in Shetland, but I admit that is one of them.
